Pangkor
Island offers variety of cboices for FOOD LOVERS. You
can enjoy fresh seafood at various seafood restaurants
in town or in Pasir Bogak. Pasir Bogak comes alive every
night with FOOD COURTS and restaurants. Food stalls
are everywhere on the island. A 24 hour restaurant near
Pangkor Jetty serves food if you become hungry at odd
hours.
MOVING
AROUND in Pangkor Island isn't much problem. Taxis are
abundant. If you prefer to drive yourself around for
sightseeing, try rent a car or a motorcycle. Bicycles
are also available.
You
may want to visit some of the LOCAL ATTRACTIONS, like
the historical ruins at Teluk Gedung - the Dutch Fort
and the Sacred Rock (or Tiger Rock, some call it). Near
Teluk Gedung is a secluded beach of Teluk Segadas, usually
a campsite for young adventurers. You may want to include
souvenir hunting in the itinery. You can do much shopping
in Pangkor Town. There's also a Public Library. You
can witness how marine products are manufactured in
Sungai Pinang Kecil. Its neighbour, Sungai Pinang Besar,
houses the Fu Lin Kong Garden where there's a replica
of the Great Wall of China. Along the west coast of
the island you will find beaches and beaches. Pasir
Bogak offers what seems to be the longest beach on the
island, some call it the biggest swimming pool in the
world. And in Teluk Nipah you will enjoy most activities
here, sea sport or beach games. Or just laze around
under the sun or watch the hornbills.
